4/29 Valpariso/Vina Del Mar

hi, here is the second day. the first pictures are from La Sebastiana, Pablo Neruda's house. it was very cool. dont laugh at my uniform!

dana, maggie, dora, me, sara, and my host grandmother
more stray dogs

this house was super cool, there was a lot of really interesting artwork. there was a very cool painting about the life of the queen of sheba, john, you would have liked it.

after La Sebastiana we went to congress.
isnt this photo cool looking? dora took it with her fancy camera

this is me at congress. i look like an intern.

this door was very interesting. in their congress building almost everything had some symbolic meaning. this door was to the room where their senate meets. they say it is in the shape of a womb because that is where the laws are born. interesting, and sort of messy.

after congress we had lunch at our first rotary meeting. they served us pisco sours before lunch, everywhere we go, we get pisco sours.
this was my table at lunch. not everyone is please d that i dont speak spanish, but by the end of the meal ive got them charmed. and the woman is my host grandma, the most amazing woman ever. we love her.
after lunch they took us to an orphanage. a dirty trick taking a bunch of girls to an orphanage.

this is brandon. he was so sweet & happy. i fell in love & cried a little when i had to leave, but i am a big sissy.

this is the girls at the orphanage

then as we were leaving a rainbow showed up over the orphanage
